Leading Women is an initiative, with roots in the Church of England, which is designed to empower and equip women to exercise and purse positions of leaderships that required high executive skills. Several gatherings have been hosted in the United States under the leadership of the Rev. Helen Svoboda-Barber and the Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Greeves. May women have benefitted from this gathering and since have engaged in ministries as Bishops, Canons to the Ordinary, and other non-traditional creative ministries. For the first time, a Leading Women Gathering will be offered in Spanish ( Mujeres en Liderazgo) to serve clergy women in Province IX and the United States. Mujeres en Liderazgo 2024, coordinated with the leadership of the Rt. Rev. Mary Gray- Reeves, the Very Rev. Miguelina Howell, and other Latina Clergy from the USA, Province IX, and Mexico, will be hosted in the Dominican Republic from April 2-6, 2024. This is a groundbreaking initiative that would provide women who serve in male dominated contexts an opportunity to expand their visions, discern their gifts, and gather tools to achieve their ministry goals and dreams in a comprehensive manner.
